Got A New Job!

My world had been turned upside down and unfortunately I haven't had time to blog in the last week. . Last Friday, after 12 years of service my company terminated me. Posistion elimination. That was at about 1:00 pm, I started my new job at 2:00.

I loved my company for the first 10 years; lived the life that others only dream of! Made tons of money, traveled the world and was excited every day to get up and go to work. And then 2 years ago, we experienced a change in leadership and it was downhill from there for me. I did the best I could to hang in there. To have a stiff upper lip and to endorse the new regime. In the last 6 months, I started really praying that God would deliver me from this place that I was convinced was killing me softly. You see, I couldn't up and quit because a> I'm not a quitter and b> Mister has been a stay at home dad for almost 3 years now. I couldn't leave my family in a lurch. And who in their right mind leaves a well paying job in this environment? So I prayed. And I prayed and I prayed and I prayed. And since the beginning of the year, I prayed even harder. And Friday at 1:00, my prayers were answered. I was fired! Canned! Finito! And I couldn't have been happier! Of course at first, I was a tad bit emotional but by the time I got home, there was nothing but peace in my heart and a smile on my face. God had answered my prayers. Can I get an, Amen?!

I received a very generous severance package which will keep us afloat until Mister is able to secure employment. He started his job search on Friday at 1:10pm and has had tons of positive feedback! Has one offer on the table and other great interviews scheduled! I know that God has great things in store for him!

Oh, so what's my new job? That's right, I did say that I started my new job only an hour after losing my old one. Are you ready? ....... Wait for it....

I have entered the realm of the SAHM! That's right, this career girl has put up her heels and traded the BMW for the SUV. I am nervous as hell but excited all the same. Officially 4 days into it , the kids are both still alive, I've made a casserole and the house is on its way to getting in shape.

Thank God for answering my prayers! Now, let's just pray that I don't inadvertently burn the house down or teach the kids new grown up works that I was known for spouting off at the office.

Hallelujer!

Jen I am stunned! I can't believe it... I'm sure it's a blessing in disguise but I know the past few months have not been easy. I hope things are turning around in the best possible way!
